Love By Chance 2 synopsis

Growing up in a wealthy family, Tin (Mean Phiravich Attachitsataporn) had always enjoyed the privileges that inherently came with wealth. Never denied a thing, he had the world at his fingertips, yet his heart constantly reminded him that there were more important things in life than wealth and privilege. But with people using him as a means to better their own lives, he had little chance to explore the desire of his own heart. Suspicious of anyone who ever tried to get close, Tin had closed his heart off to the world, until the day he met Can (Plan Rathavit Kijworalak).

An innocent and rather impressionable young man, Can had never met anyone quite like Tin. An incorruptible soul, Can’s sweetness left an indelible impression on Tin and their friendship blossomed overnight. However, as Tin and Can drew closer, Tin began to realize his feelings for his friend were quickly becoming much stronger than those of simple friendship. Mustering the courage to tell Can how he felt, Tin admitted his feelings for his friend, but Can could not accept them.

Heartbroken, Tin must now decide where things go from here. Does he give up on the boy who stole his heart? Or does he hold onto the hope that eventually, true love will conquer all?

PLAN'S OPINIONS ABOUT #MARRIAGEEQUALITY

July 7, 2020, There is the social movement in Thailand about #MarriageEquality on Twitter to push forward the draft of Acts to edit the Civil and Commercial Code about all gender; both same-sex and opposite-sex can be engaged and married legally. So, Many people shared their opinions and shouted out to support this draft to be real. That makes the hashtags reached the top trending on Thailand.

Not only general public but actors/actresses, singers and people in entertainment industry also tweeted and retweeted about #MarriageEquality, including Plan-Rathavit too.

Love by Chance (2018)

Summary

Pete is a handsome and rich university student who is incredibly timid. His shyness stems from his trying to hide that he is gay. One day, Pete gets hit by a boy on a bike. The kind-hearted boy, named Ae, apologizes and helps him up. In the past, those whom Pete trusted often used him for his wealth. Ae now steps in so Pete won’t be taken advantage of by his frenemies. Over time, Ae looks out for Pete and protects him from the world. Somewhere between their intenThe Gist: Timid, rich college student Pete's (Saint Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana) life changes when engineering student Ae (Perth Tanapon Sukhumpantanasan) hits him with his bike. The two develop an immediate friendship, with Ae stepping in to help handle a student threatening Pete because of his sexuality. The strong bond of their friendship begins to pose questions for Ae about what he feels for Pete and if it goes further than friendship. Ae's porn-obsessed, nosy roommate Pond (Yacht Surat Permpoonsavat) is desperate to help the naive Ae succeed in his romance, by any means necessary. But Pete's friend, Tin (Mean Phiravich Attachitsataporn), can't help interfering in his relationship because he believes them to be in a different class from Ae and his excitable friend Can (Plan Rathavit Kijworalak).

Review

This. This. This. THIS! Pete and Ae are serious relationship goals. Aghhhh. In the beginning of the show, Ae never makes Pete feel bad about being gay or that they have to draw boundaries in their friendship because of it. Ae is always extremely honest with Pete and never lets misunderstandings survive between them. This develops a strong trust between them. When Ae starts having romantic feelings, he tells Pete about them. When he feels jealous, he tells Pete about it. What I love best is that Ae is not dumb about Pete's feelings. He guesses that Pete feels romantically for him and he says that he can tell the way Pete looks at him is different from the way he looks at others. So may characters like Ae can't take a hint if it hits them in the face, but Ae doesn't press Pete, but is very aware of the way they treat each other. I love that Ae wants to see Pete constantly, even before they start dating. Let's talk about the physical stuff. Man, LBC really goes for it on that regard. Rather than a chaste kiss here and there, Pete and Ae can't keep their hands (mouths, bodies, lives) off of each other). I am usually happy for a few kisses in a drama, but this goes way beyond it. To borrow a phrase from Maggie Steifvater, both boys were hungry, but Ae had been starving longer. Once he touches Pete, it's like the floodgates were opened. He can be gentle, or throw Pete against a locker long enough to get his tie off. What is great is that Ae always checks for consent with Pete, when it's their first kisses or when they have sex, Ae always make sure Pete is OK with it. Bless poor Ae for needing to google how to have sex with Pete, but it's good to see that he is fairly insecure, even when he acts so confidently with Pete. The physical side of their relationship is built up on how strong their emotional bond is. So, Pete has to come out to his mom in episode 1 and she is my hero. She is sure to make sure Pete knows she loves him not matter who he loves. She fully embraces his independence and Ae. She can tell that Ae is a good man and is wholly supportive of them. I always love when a drama goes for a supportive parent, especially because it makes such a difference in LGBT relationships. I am glad they show Ae meeting Pete's mom and her approving of him. It's very important to have this kind of representation in this age. Let's talk about Pond. I was super annoyed by how openly perverse he is (who watches porn this openly???), but he is a surprisingly complex character. Although he is overly nosy, he really does want to support Ae. He may tease him but is happy to give him advice and set him up on dates. He even offers to buy Ae lube and slips him condoms. Ae doesn't want this much interference, but it's so nice that Pond really looks out for him. What really pushed Pond over the top for me is his experience with ChaAim (Cherreen Nachjaree Horvejkul), who you may recognize from Puppy Honey. He is so aggressively flirtatious with her at first, but when they finally start dating, he is so respectful of her body and choices. He is willing to go at her pace and never wants to pressure her. Really he has even more restraint than Ae does. I wasn't sure how they were going to resolve the way he is, but ChaAim handles him perfectly. Pond needs someone who can boss him around a little bit and ChaAim is perfect at that. Moreso, I love how supportive Pond and ChaAim are of Ae/Pete. Neither makes them feel weird about their relationship and I love the scenes with all four of them together. Actually this show is overwhelmingly supportive of Ae/Pete overall. It has a good message of tolerance. Let's talk about Tin/Can. I think this show draws out their antagonism too long. I love hate to love relationships, but Tin is just a jerk for way too long. Pete gives him too much leeway. I get that he's got trust issues, but you can't just treat people like garbage without repercussions. In that sense, Can is a perfect foil. He doesn't let Tin get away with anything, which makes him more trustworthy to Tin. I think the change in Tin happens too

fast. He goes from hating to pursuing him really quickly. No wonder Can has whiplash. Still, it's great to see Tin soften up. He is much more handsome when he is being vulnerable and kind. I think aside from these stories, LBC is trying to tell too much. There's also a will they/won't they? thing with two stepbrothers and a weird high school student chasing the soccer coach thing. The story-lines are so randomly inserted and spread out that I just really didn't care about them. I was somewhat invested in the stepbrothers storyline, but the whole story is like less than one episode long. I don't think it builds it up enough and the entire story is just the younger brother keeping a secret while the older brother is supportive. It just didn't mesh well with the rest of the show. If they were going to keep these stories in, they should have built them up a bit. Otherwise, I'm just not sure it's worth keeping them in. Final Grade: Ase closeness and shared soft touches, Ae develops feelings for Pete that go beyond friendship. Pete doesn't want Ae to know the pain of being ridiculed for dating a man, so he ignores his own feelings for Ae. But Pete falls deeper and deeper in love with the kind-hearted boy on the bike, who once hit him purely by chance.

Plan-Rathavit Kijworalak, From the culinary student who decided to place knives, flippers, and apron down, to an entertainment industry person for showing that someone’s success can’t be valued by a degree certificate only.

Firstly, we want to know Plan and your family a little bit more. What style does your parent treat you?

I have one older sister, she’s a doctor. My mother treat me and my sister as a twin; ate the same thing, did all the same thing. A question that me and my sister, why are we different? I was not good at studying, my brain was stolen by my sister. (laugh) My sister is very good at studying, she studied medicine with a GPA of 4.00, but my GPA was 1.98.

I am growing with the family that has my mother as a leader, my father doesn’t dare to dispute. (laugh) He lets her manage all things. He is chill, my mother manages all things and treats the children. My mother is more controlling than my father, but she is not too strict and lets me do something. If we; my sister and I want to try something, she will let us do what we want, and let us travel if we want but all things should be under the rules, and we need to take care of ourselves and know how to plan the process 1 2 3 4. Nowadays, I work by myself. My mother always reminds me to do not spend too much money because we don’t know what the future will be, so we should save the money and invest in funds for if I have some children someday, I will be fine in the future, My mother said that.

How about studying? How does your mother support you?

My mother always mutters me about studying. She supported me to take classes in tutoring school. I often entered the class at first, but I often skipped the class at last. That’s a bad influence, don’t do that. At that time, I didn’t know why I must study. I just went to school because I want to meet friends and spend a happy time with friends. When my mother knew it, she was really angry. When she was angry, it had many issues like we didn’t talk to each other a week, even if we live in the same home but we pretended to not talk to each other. That time, I thought that I did nothing wrong but I was the one who start making up. I pretended to ask her something, placed apology sticky notes at the aisle, and massage her legs. (laugh)

I know that in college, you studied cooking and culinary. Why did you decide to study that major?

When I was a child, I didn’t know what I want to do. I didn’t study well. My friend suggested to studying it together, It wasn’t stressing to preparing the entrance examination. So I followed him. Firstly, I thought that It might not read hard and study too hard but, in the reality, culinary is the subject that includes art and science. There are calculation, food science and temperature control. Even knife cuts, it will be appropriate, it’s like in a cooking show. I can’t miss the test. If I miss it, I will sign that course again.

When I studied, I like it. I honestly like it before I entranced, I have liked it since I made a portfolio. I cooked at home, took photos by myself and sent the portfolio to the college. The special of people who like to cook is the happiness when someone enjoys my food. It can’t explain how happy am I. There is a weird story that I didn’t eat the food I cook, It’s like I tasted it too much.

For 4 years that I studied culinary, It was fun. But I didn’t get a bachelor’s degree certificate because I stood down in the 4th year; the year that I should train at the hotel or restaurant, but I don’t have any time. That period is the time that I start shooting. If I trained, I would do it every day. It was hard to manage the time for the series, so I had to choose, and I chose work. I don’t set that a bachelor’s degree certificate is important for my whole life. I think the knowledge learned is full. In the future, I might sign some courses for a certificate.

You were going to graduate; were you regret it?

I didn’t regret what I chose. That time, “Love By Chance” was important because many people are ready to work, and I was ready to go with it. My mother let me decide, It’s all up to me. I think the worth of life and the standard of success in people’s minds are different. Bachelor’s degree is a success for someone, but it’s not for someone. I can’t say that a bachelor’s degree is important or not, It depends on each other and each family’s perspective.

For me, the most important is, how do you live when you are in the real-life that’s outside the university. There are many things outside the textbook to learn; there are competitions, many kinds of people you will face. If you can handle it and win, it would be one step of your success.

From manly kid to boy love actor, do you feel shy?

Fortunately, I worked with friends. When we know each other, It quite not shy. And before now, I have learned about the boy love series by watching Love Sick series; how do White-Captain act? And Love Of Siam movie. I still have learned about acting until now, Learning never ends.

How do you plan about your actor works?

I quite don’t plan for the future. It’s my bad. I just want to do my best at present time. I don’t think about what I should do at some age. We can’t control the future 100% but we know how much we tried. We know what we did wrong, we can fix it and do it better. You can make a mistake even if you’re very genius. I also have to improve myself continuously. I get fans and family to give me a push, I can do it.

When you are famous and got many followers, how about rules when you live?

I will be a good role model, strict to the rules and law because I got many ages rate and some kids might treat me as a role model; I need to be a good role model. And about the other things, everything can’t change me. I don’t use a high-end brand, don’t buy luxury stuff. Nowadays, I still wear shorts and sandals to the mall. I will still be myself 100% but I should concern to do something that makes a bad image because there are fans who follow me.

Do you have something to tell your fans?

I really thanks to all fans for supporting me in everything I did, even my acting work, business, song or warned me about something I did. They told me when I did something bad and told me what they need me to adjust. They are like a mirror that reflects what I did wrong and I am not perfect. But sometimes, I made fans feel tired and exhausted because I was inconsiderate, did something unintentionally or playfully. So, the words that I always give them are “sorry” and “thank you”.

If there are no fans, It won’t be me today. I won’t get an opportunity from elder supporters, I won’t be famous and I won’t have money. I might be just a person who doesn’t graduate. I can stand on this point because of fans’ support. I always remind about my fans more and more. I can say that they give me life. So, I tattoo the date 23/10; the date of starting #PeopleOfPlan. It can warn me on the day that I get carry away or forget to pay attention to fans; It shouldn’t happen, it’s the worse mistake. When I see this tattoo, I will know that if there are no fans, It will no Plan-Rathavit also.
